Overview
April 25 was historic: Revenge of the Sith back on the big screen. The Battle of Heroes, the fall of Anakin, the rise of Vader — relived in all its glory, 20 years later.
I had to animate this 🔥 anniversary poster by the incredible @mattfergusonartist. For me, it was more than just a project: when Episode III first released, I was only 5 and never got to see it in theaters. Experiencing it now, at 24, was surreal. This motion was my tribute, both to the saga and to the kid I was back then.

Challenges & Approach
This one was truly special, emotional, even, for the entire Star Wars fan community who grew up with the prequels. I knew I had to make it right, so I took my time.
The piece is based on the incredible composition by Matt Ferguson. His art was already breathtaking, and I wanted to honor that. I carefully cut the poster into dozens of layers, cleaning and reconstructing hidden details so they could move without breaking the integrity of the original. I even added Mustafar’s burning planet at the top, because how could I resist?
All of it was crafted with a smile on my face. I never had the chance to see Revenge of the Sith in theaters when it first released, I was only 5 years old. But now, at 24, I finally experienced it on the big screen. This motion is my way of capturing that feeling.
Everything was animated in Photoshop and After Effects, rendered through Media Encoder with settings tailored for TikTok and Instagram in 4K.
The result
The reaction blew me away. Even Pathé Gaumont and several independent cinema accounts shared my motion to promote the special anniversary screenings. Seeing it used that way made me proud.
Fans across the Star Wars community reposted it everywhere, sharing their excitement, nostalgia, and love for the saga. The impact was bigger than I could’ve ever imagined.
And then came the highlight: Matt Ferguson himself shared my animation on his Instagram story.
A fan-made motion, recognized by the original artist.
Made by a fan, for the fans. ⚔️🥀
