Overview

Still thinking about how strong this final season was.
Stellan Skarsgård as luthen... unreal performance.
Diego Luna, the whole cast, the direction 🙌 everything locked in.
Shoutout to tony gilroy for building something this real and timeless.

Animated entirely in Photoshop + #AfterEffects, with around 45 manually animated layers.
Original res: 4K vertical (2160x3840), seamless motion loop.

Challenges & Approach

Animating every character was a huge challenge. For each one, I added movement to the hair, the clothes, the gear, even subtle reflections. Most of these details can’t be fully noticed on a mobile screen, but they matter.

My mindset was: what if this ran worldwide as a promotional motion poster on giant displays? I wanted it to hold up at that scale.

The goal was to respect the original art. Subtle motion was the key: a slight wind, a shift in fabric, a quiet realism. I didn’t want cartoonish movement, just the feeling of being inside the still, hearing the “wind in the wheat” of the scene.

The result

I’m proud of this one. It didn’t go viral as much as others, but it remains a strong piece, one that would feel right as an official design asset for a season launch.

And that’s the point: this was a professional test for me. Created from nothing more than a PNG pulled off Instagram, yet I was able to build depth, motion, and presence.

Now imagine what I could do with official source files and full-resolution artwork. That’s the dream, and the next step I’m aiming for. ⚔️🥀
