Fortiche just dropped this gem, and man, every frame’s a masterpiece. Stromae and Pomme’s track hits hard too, raw emotion all the way through.👊

Challenges & Approach

The first step was finding the most “motionable” frame of the clip. I downloaded the video, froze it on that exact moment, and upscaled it to more than 4K.

From there, it became the meticulous process I apply to all my work, breaking down the still, repainting hidden details, and animating layer by layer to give it depth and movement.

For this one, I had to completely reconstruct parts of Jinx’s clothing at the bottom, including the multiple rings, which was the most technically challenging aspect. My priority was always to honor the original artwork created by Fortiche, which is why I only use professional tools, not AI.

I also made the motion available for free download on Gumroad, not on Drive, to keep it clean and personal. This gave fans the chance to own the piece while leaving a note or feedback, adding to the community feel.

The result

The final animation exceeded my expectations. After posting it, the reception was massive: League of Legends reposted it, and even Netflix reshared a version with their own mockup. Fortiche themselves also saw my story.

The Arcane community embraced it fully, everyone had their own way of connecting with it. Many saved it on their phones, some used it daily, and most importantly, it sparked emotion. That’s always the goal: not just movement, but feeling.

The comments were overwhelmingly positive, and the sense of shared passion made it clear that this project paid true tribute to Fortiche’s art.
