Challenges & Approach

Initial speech for this unique commission

"got an idea for one of these shots (so fire), thinking a decontaminated factory on geonosis, real gritty, star wars republic commando original game vibes. could go full cinematic with the lighting and atmosphere. lmk if you’re down 🔥"

The challenge here was to bring to life a real photoshoot of the cosplayer, and turn it into a totally new and immersive environment inside the Star Wars universe, Geonosis, deep underground, down in the dark.

The task was to incorporate the armor into that setting with the right lighting and just the right amount of detail — not to overpower the design, but to complete it.

The guiding question was simple:
“What if I was the cosplayer, and I could actually see my armor inside this universe?”

I think that’s the dream for every cosplayer 😉 like stepping into a convention set, or Disneyland, seeing real décor, taking photos with other cosplayers, and immersing yourself for a few hours or days in another world.

That was the purpose here. And honestly? I think I pulled it off.

The result

Final message I sent to the cosplayer:
"Finally! Just finished the render, Geonosis tunnels, old droid factory feel, nothing left to chance. Added a custom title too, like an official extension. Just need to drop the epic track when posting 👊 Hope it hits!"

That’s what motion art is all about: not just creating movement, but creating moments that make people feel like they belong inside the story.
